There are so many old adages about time.
“Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend” – Theophrastus
“Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time” – Jim Rohn
“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.” – Steve Jobs
The list continues, and as you age, these points become more prominent. In your 20s, as you embark on your career, you have many decades ahead of you, having only experienced two decades thus far. You are likely to spend three times more time working than you have already. This shouldn't be seen as discouraging, but rather as inspiring.
No matter if you are just starting out, midway through the journey or approaching the end of your career, focus on what you do with your time rather than just passing through time.
Steve Jobs quote above strikes me the most because we have one shot at this, are we living for our dreams and aspirations or for someone else?
